On 28 August POLSOR (Polish Agricultural Services and Distribution Organisation) members held an extraordinary general meeting in Ożarów Mazowiecki. Representatives of PIORiN (Main Inspectorate of Plant Health and Seed Inspection) – deputy main inspector Dariusz Wiraszka and the director of Plant Health and Technology department, Joanna Tumińska – were present as guests.
POLSOR is currently taking action to safeguard the Polish market from an influx of illegal and fake pesticides by intervening in cooperation with PIORiN and MRiRW (Agriculture and Countryside Development Ministry). The organisation continues the process of identifying advertisements and market offers on the internet that pertain to illegal pesticides. POLSOR intends to act by sharing knowledge, providing training, and educating pesticide users about the dangers of using illegal and fake products.
POLSOR members have almost unanimously accepted the invitation to join two Coceral organisations and Food Economy Federation.
